The global spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 is being followed with great concern by those working on ISG 2020 planning.
One of the sources of information is
this web site from Johns Hopkins CSSE.
It is regularly updated and shows that several of the nations that want to be represented at the conference have areas
characterized as high-risk areas for infection. In Norway, we follow
advice from NIPH – Norwegian Institute of Public Health
, and per date there are entry restrictions from countries with such high-risk areas for infection. As ISG 2020 is a global conference,
it is wrong to exclude participants from some countries. We also do not want to contribute to increased virus spread.
That is why has been decided to postpone the conference to Oct. 7-9, 2020.
