AbstractThe international Conference on Technology and Aging (Toronto, September 12-14, 2001) started in the shadow of the terrorists’ attack that befell the neighbour on the South one day before. Many registered participants and even speakers could not make it. However, those present not only listened to lectures, scrutinized new technologies, or presented innovative research and design, they also discussed the whole domain of Gerontechnology. After the conference this has been continued in a virtual way, through the website www.icta.on.ca. This short report includes the major results of the conference. Keywords: technology; aging; conference
